Morning flight to Konya. One hour drive to Catalhoyuk. Visit the extraordinary remains of an ancient Neolithic settlement. Lunch in Konya. Visit the Archaeology Museum and the tomb of Rumi, founder of the order of whirling dervishes. Evening flight to Istanbul. Depending on flight schedule, return flight to Istanbul can be on following morning.

 

 

 



CAP 4 CATAL - CAPPADOCIA - 2 DAYS

Day 1 Morning flight to Konya in Central Turkey. Visit the shrine of Rumi, founder of the order of whirling dervishes and Catalhoyuk, exciting Neolithic excavation. Drive to Cappadocia. Overnight in cave hotel. 

 

Day 2 Visit Goreme Open Air Museum, an underground city and scenic stops. Late afternoon flight to Istanbul.

 

Optional when in Cappadocia: Evening performance of Whirling dervishes. Early morning balloon flight over Cappadocia

 



CAP5 CATAL - CAPPADOCIA - ANKARA 3 DAYS

Konya – Catalhoyuk – Cappadocia – Ankara (3 Days)

Day 3 Drive to Ankara (four and a half hours). Visit Ankara Anatolian Civilizations Museum with rich collections going back to the Neolithic and the impressive monumental tomb of Ataturk, founder of the Turkish Republic. Evening flight to Istanbul from Ankara.
